MSc in Business Analytics

BIG DATA is shifting the fundamental paradigms of the business world, creating an entirely new kind of business. With the birth of new technologies and big data developments comes the need for increasingly multifaceted professionals, experts in IT, mathematics, statistics and business. ESADE's MSc in Business Analytics aims to train this new professional, bridging the gap between the world of computing and that of business leaders and directors.

Admission requirements: Bachelor in Business Administration or degrees related to management (Finance, Economics, Global Commerce, etc.) and scientific or technological backgrounds (medicine, mathematics, physics, biology, pharmacy, chemistry or engineering).
If your background is business-related, you will be asked to complete the Pre-Programme in Data Science before starting the programme. If your background is in an area other than business, you will be asked to complete the Pre-Programme in Business. Both Pre-Programmes are held from August to mid-September, before the start of the programme.
Before beginning the MSc in Business Analytics programme, students must have earned an undergraduate degree entitling them to undertake postgraduate studies in the degree-granting country.

• Participate in multidisciplinary groups working on big data and data analytics projects with a significant business expert.
• Develop data analytics projects using Python, R, and the standard libraries & tools.
• Contribute to the design of big data & data analytics projects using commercial and open source platforms such as Spark or AWS.
• Gain a deep knowledge of big data & data analytics in one of three areas: finance; marketing and retail; or industry 4.0 & internet of things & smart cities – or a combination of these areas.
