Máster MRes in Management Sciences

ESADE MRes program provides rigorous training with courses that cover a wide range of topics and research methods. You will work closely with your supervisor.
A commission assesses students for transfer to the PhD in accordance with three criteria: academic record of the candidate, the research skills demonstrated during the MRes and the affinities between the candidate and ESADE's lines of research.
We welcome candidates from various disciplines (Management, Economics, Engineering, Psychology, Sociology and other disciplines related to management) who are highly motivated, enthusiastic about the creation of new knowledge, and interested in pursuing an international career in research.

Participants admitted to the MRes in Management Sciences must have a strong interest in research in addition to an excellent academic record.
The program is open to graduates in any discipline who aim to study Management Sciences and a theoretical and methodological perspective.
Candidates who do not have 18 ECTS in Business Management courses or related areas will be required to complete the Management Immersion Programme, an intensive summer programme (24 ECTS). More information on this programme can be found here (Management Immersion Programme).

Candidates must have completed a minimum of 240 ECTS credits as part of university degree or postgraduate studies. Further they need to hold a degree qualification in Business/Management or hold a degree (Economics, Engineering, Psychology, Sociology, etc…) with at least 18 credits in Business/Management. Candidates with diplomas or who have incomplete university studies will not be admitted.

• Exceptionally, excellent candidates with bachelors of 180 ECTS can be admitted in the MRes programme. To meet the requirements of the PhD programme in terms of ECTS credits required, those MRes candidates continuing with the PhD programme with an official degree of less than 240 ECTS credits will have the opportunity to take additional courses during a second year of the MRes programme.
• Candidates with less than 18 credits in business/management will be requested to take courses prior joining the MRes.

The Master of Research (MRes) in Management Sciences is designed as a first step toward pursuing a career in research in business schools, at universities or international organizations. The program prepares students to pursue doctoral research.

The main objective of the MRes is for participants to attain the following competences:

• Having the theoretical bases necessary to do research in specific areas in management   sciences.
• A solid background in research design and methods.
• To be able to formulate research questions and identify knowledge gaps.
• To be able to communicate orally and written in a scientific context.
• To be able to participate and lead in research groups and projects.

Method of payment

Reservation
Admitted candidates must make a payment equivalent to 25% of the program enrolment fees. You must make this payment in the period indicated in the letter of admission for the place to be reserved, irrespective of whether you are pending the awarding of a scholarship or whether you intend to opt for any other financing system. 
 
Payment of the remaining amount
The remaining amount of the enrolment fees should be paid on the date indicated in the payment instructions. Various financing formulae are available.
