Master in User Experience Design

The new economy is digital. Every single day new business models, services and digital solutions appears in our lives with a common need, to understand and improve how users interact with them. UX creates empathy between people and technology putting users first. Only a deep understanding of human behavior permits to optimize usability thanks to experience design and innovation. With the Master in User Experience Design, awarded by BTS and the University of Barcelona, you will develop the most demanded UX skills while you discover in first person the innovative vision of user-centered technology design.

• UX Driven Business:  Students will discover and understand how the digital transformation is making changes in the User Experience.
• Foundations in human factors: During this subject the students will learn what are the skills that the human beings use to perceive the world that surrounds them and that defines their experiences.
• User centered technology: This subject focuses in the importance of understanding the user as the center of a digital product.
• Content strategy: The content strategy is a key point to guarantee a high quality experience for the user. In this subject the student will learn to define and structure the contents of a digital solution.
• UI Design & Prototyping: At the end of this module, the students will be able to design the most appropiate digital interfaces in order to optimize the User Experience. Students will also learn how to prototype.
• Testing and assessment: Students will learn the importance of correctly defining the objectives of the testing. They will decide what they need to mesure according to the results they want to obtain and they will stablish metrics to obtain the most acurated data.
• UX Leadership & Management: The student will learn the different management models used in UX. At the end of the module they will be able to manage any department involved in a UX project, from the developers to the business teams.
• Entrepreneurship: Students will learn to shape opportunities, provide the leadership and build the team to create economic and social value. They will create and develop business models for start-ups based on customer development and continuous validation, managing financial metrics and dealing with investors.
• Interface Development: The students will understand what are the most appropiated infrastructures and development tools for UX projects. They will be able to develop basic interfaces.
• Innovation & Creative Technology: Students will experience the process of discovery, interpretation and ideation. They will learn techniques to identify opportunities and understand customer needs. They will integrate the process of conceptualization and creative design that will help them design innovative digital solutions.
• Project: The students will work during the program on the final project.

The Master in User Experience Design will help you to become a professional able to design digital solutions centered on user needs.
You will learn to identify how users interact with technology with a learning by doing methodology that is focus on the analysis, design, prototyping and evaluation of multi-platform user interfaces. All of them are skills that will permit you deliver great user experience.
During the program you will also be introduced to web and mobile development languages that will permit you to understand the most important links between technology and UX projects while programming usable interfaces.
